We are embarking on a three-month tour anchored by three wedding ceremonies. One marriage has rites in Seattle and Edinburgh; the other in Sao Paulo. There are several things to see on the way from one to the other.

We will occasionally write about things that seem interesting at the time. We are trying a new layout which I hope will allow for a more natural reading experience, and which will look better on mobile devices, which I hear are all the rage these days.
