The Wedding

The wedding itself the following day was a two and a half hour bus trip from Quito. It took place at Hacienda Pinsaqui, a lovely little ranch just outside Otavalo, a town renowned for its local crafts market, which we didn't have a chance to visit.

The fantastic dessert, a meringue box with various white fruits in the inside and various colorful fruit sauces on the outside. On top was a "physalis" which we'd just learned about in France and Switzerland a few months earlier, also called a "ground cherry".
