Rarotonga

We spent a couple days in Rarotonga in the Cook Islands. It's a fairly small island that takes about an hour to drive around.

This is a little island just off where we were staying.

You can walk out to the island through six-inch-deep water, but you have to try not to step on the millions of sea cucumbers.

Some of the sea cucumbers were actually pretty.

We saw this little snake-eel cavorting amongst the sea cucumbers.

Some ants in the room in our guest house spent the day devouring a cockroach as best they could. They were hoping to get it through the tiny hole in the wall.

We spent one of the days walking across the island, from the north shore to the "Needle" at the top, and then to the south shore. This picture we took of the trail and where it crosses the river came in very handy later in the day when it wasn't clear exactly where the trail was.
